   With the strap in place, lift the ratchet handle all the way up while pressing the red button. This allows the strap to be pulled through freely. Once the desired length is achieved, release the red button. Then, give a few quick ratchets by moving the handle up and down to tighten the strap securely around your cargo. 3. 3. To Release:

   To release the tension, lower the ratchet handle all the way down until it locks into the open position. While holding the handle down, press the red button. This will release the strap tension. Unhook both ends of the strap from their anchor points. Press the red button again to allow the strap to automatically retract and wind up the excess webbing into the mechanism for neat storage.
