Proper installation is crucial for the safe and effective operation of your weight distribution hitch. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician if you are unfamiliar with towing equipment.

2. Install Shank: Insert the 2-inch shank into your vehicle's receiver hitch. The shank can be flipped to provide the necessary drop or rise to achieve a level trailer. Secure with a hitch pin and clip.

3. Attach Head Assembly: Slide the weight distribution head assembly onto the shank. The head features a pre-torqued 2-5/16-inch trailer ball. Adjust the tilt of the head to allow for proper spring bar tension.

6. Connect Spring Bar Chains: Attach the spring bar safety chains to the ends of the spring bars and then to the hook-up brackets. Use the lift handle to raise the spring bars and engage the chains onto the brackets, ensuring the trailer is level and the vehicle's front and rear bumper heights are restored to their original measurements (or slightly lower at the rear). Adjust chain links as needed to achieve proper tension.

7. Install Sway Control Unit: Mount the sway control unit to the trailer frame and the hitch head using the provided hardware. Ensure the unit is positioned to allow full articulation without interference. The spacer plate helps ensure proper alignment.
