4. Lower the paper press: Lower the transparent paper press firmly onto the paper to hold it securely in place.
5. Make the cut: Hold the paper press down with one hand. With the other hand, slide the blade carriage firmly along the rail from top to bottom (or bottom to top) to make the cut. For a cleaner cut, you may slide the blade carriage back and forth once.
6. Remove the paper: Lift the blade rail and remove the trimmed paper.

4.2. Using Perforating, Scoring, and Wave Blades

The KW-Trio 13939 includes three additional specialized blades: perforating, scoring, and wave. These blades are interchangeable with the straight blade.

1. Change the blade: Follow the blade changing instructions in Section 5.1 to replace the straight blade with your desired specialized blade (perforating, scoring, or wave).
2. Position and cut: Follow steps 2-5 from Section 4.1. The specialized blades will create their respective patterns (perforated line, scored line for folding, or decorative wave cut).

4.3. Using the Corner Rounder

The integrated corner rounder allows you to create rounded corners on your paper. It offers three different corner sizes: 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, and 3/8 inch.

1. Select corner size: Rotate the turquoise round button on the top left of the trimmer to select the desired corner radius (1/8", 1/4", or 3/8"). Ensure the selected size is facing the grid.
2. Insert paper: Insert the corner of your paper into the slot of the corner rounder, aligning it with the guides.

2. Insert new strip: Carefully insert the new cutting mat strip into the groove, ensuring it sits flush.
