5.1 Connecting the Dongle

5.2 Initial Configuration (First Use)

When the MiraScreen setup screen appears on your display, it will show the dongle's Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password. You will use these to connect your mobile device.

1. Connect Your Device to Dongle's Wi-Fi: On your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the MiraScreen dongle's Wi-Fi network (SSID). Enter the password displayed on the screen.

3. Select the MiraScreen device from the list. Your iOS device screen will now be mirrored to the display.

6.2 Mirroring for Android Devices (Miracast/Google Home)

Android devices typically use Miracast or Google Home for mirroring. Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the MiraScreen dongle.

1. Using Miracast (Wireless Display):
   • Go to your Android device's settings.
   • Look for "Cast," "Smart View," "Wireless Display," "Screen Mirroring," or similar options (names vary by manufacturer).
   • Select the MiraScreen device from the list.
2. Using Google Home App:
   • Download and open the Google Home app from the Google Play Store.
   • Ensure your phone and the dongle are on the same Wi-Fi network.
   • Tap on the MiraScreen device listed in the app.
   • Tap "Cast my screen" at the bottom, then "Cast screen."

6.3 Mirroring for Windows/Mac OS

For Windows and Mac OS, you can typically use the built-in casting features or third-party applications.

6.5 Important Notes on App Compatibility

Please be aware that the MiraScreen G4 Plus is not compatible with paid streaming applications that employ Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection. This includes, but is not limited to, services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu Plus, Sky Go, DIRECTV, and HBO Go. Attempting to mirror content from these applications may result in a black screen or no audio.
