3. Once the battery is inserted, the clock hands will begin to move, typically setting to the 12 o'clock position as it prepares to search for the atomic signal.

2. Time Zone and Daylight Saving Time (DST) Selection

On the back of the clock, locate the time zone switch (P, M, C, E for Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern) and the DST switch (ON/OFF).

• Slide the time zone switch to your current time zone.
• Set the DST switch to ON if your region observes Daylight Saving Time, or OFF if it does not.

3. Atomic Signal Reception

The clock will automatically attempt to receive the WWVB radio signal from Fort Collins, Colorado. This signal ensures the clock is accurate to within one second and adjusts for Daylight Saving Time.

• For optimal signal reception, place the clock near a window, away from large metal objects or electronic devices that may cause interference.
• The ideal time for initial setup and signal reception is in the evening, as signal strength is often better overnight.
• The clock may take a few nights to successfully receive and synchronize with the signal. Be patient.
