5. Подешавање и инсталација
Proper installation is crucial for safe and effective braking. If you are unsure about any step, consult a professional bicycle mechanic.
- Припремите свој бицикл: Ensure your bike is stable, preferably on a repair stand. Remove the old brake caliper if applicable.
- Identify Caliper Type: Determine if you have a front (F160 R140) or rear (F180 R160) caliper. The numbers indicate the recommended rotor sizes (F=Front, R=Rear, numbers are rotor diameter in mm).
- Mount the Caliper: Align the caliper with the mounting points on your bike's fork (for front) or frame (for rear). Use the provided mounting screws to attach the caliper. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Install Brake Rotor (if not already present): Ensure your disc brake rotor is securely attached to the wheel hub.
- Align Caliper with Rotor: Loosely tighten the caliper mounting screws. Spin the wheel and visually align the caliper so that the brake pads are centered over the rotor without rubbing. You may need to gently squeeze the brake lever to center the pads, then tighten the mounting screws while holding the lever.
- Connect Brake Cable: Route the brake cable from your brake lever to the caliper. Insert the cable end into the caliper's cable anchor bolt and tighten it securely. Ensure there is no excessive slack in the cable.
- Adjust Brake Pad Clearance: Use the barrel adjuster on the caliper (if present) or the cable tension adjuster on the lever to fine-tune the brake pad clearance. The pads should be close to the rotor but not rubbing when the brake is disengaged.
- Test Braking: Squeeze the brake lever firmly several times to ensure proper engagement and release. Check for any rubbing or unusual noises. Make final adjustments as needed.

6. Операција
To operate the disc brakes, gently squeeze the corresponding brake lever on your handlebars. The amount of braking force is proportional to the pressure applied to the lever. For optimal control and safety, apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously, with slightly more pressure on the front brake for maximum stopping power, but avoid locking up the front wheel.
Безбедносна напомена:
- Always test your brakes before each ride.
- Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, as this can cause loss of control.
- Braking performance may be reduced in wet or muddy conditions. Adjust your riding style accordingly.
7. Одржавање
Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your disc brake caliper and ensure consistent performance.
- чистоћа: Keep the brake caliper and rotor clean. Use a clean cloth and a suitable disc brake cleaner to remove dirt, oil, and grime. Avoid getting lubricants on the rotor or pads.
- Преглед кочионих плочица: Periodically check the wear level of your brake pads. Replace pads when they are worn down to the wear indicator line or if braking performance significantly degrades.
- Преглед ротора: Inspect the brake rotor for bends, cracks, or excessive wear. A bent rotor can cause rubbing and inconsistent braking.
- Инспекција каблова: Check the brake cable for fraying, rust, or stiffness. Lubricate the cable and housing if necessary, or replace if damaged.
- Mounting Bolt Torque: Periodically check that all mounting bolts for the caliper and rotor are securely tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications (refer to your bike's manual for specific torque values).
КСНУМКС. Решавање проблема
| Проблем | Могући узрок | Решење |
|---|---|---|
| Кочнице су слабе или сунђерасте | Loose cable, worn pads, contaminated pads/rotor | Tighten cable, replace pads, clean pads/rotor with disc brake cleaner. |
| Brakes are noisy (squealing/grinding) | Contaminated pads/rotor, misaligned caliper, worn pads | Clean pads/rotor, realign caliper, replace pads. |
| Brake pads rub on rotor constantly | Misaligned caliper, bent rotor, incorrect pad adjustment | Realign caliper, check rotor for trueness (replace if bent), adjust pad clearance. |
| Brake lever feels too hard or stiff | Friction in cable/housing, seized caliper piston (less common for mechanical) | Lubricate or replace cable/housing. Inspect caliper mechanism. |
