2.1. Распакивање и први преглед

Carefully remove the MS20 Mini from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Ensure all included accessories are present. Note that some components, such as audio cables, may not be included and need to be acquired separately.

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 9V input on the rear panel of the MS20 Mini. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.

2.3. Аудио излаз

Connect the audio output of the MS20 Mini to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface using appropriate cables. The unit features a standard 1/8" output jack.

2.4. MIDI Connectivity

The MS20 Mini supports both USB MIDI and 5-pin MIDI. Connect a USB cable from the synthesizer to your computer for MIDI communication, or use 5-pin MIDI cables to connect to other MIDI-equipped instruments.

3.1. Basic Sound Generation

Тхе Волtage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) is the primary source of sound for the MS20 Mini. Adjust the waveform and pitch controls in the VCO sections (VCO 1 and VCO 2) to begin shaping your sound. The VCO Mixer allows you to blend the outputs of VCO 1 and VCO 2.

3.2. Filter Control

The MS20 Mini features self-oscillating high-pass and low-pass filters. Use the CUTOFF FREQUENCY and PEAK controls in both the Voltage Controlled Highpass Filter (VCF) and Voltage Controlled Lowpass Filter (VCLPF) sections to sculpt the timbre of your sound. Experiment with resonance to create distinctive tonal qualities.

Two Envelope Generators (EG 1 and EG 2) control the amplitude and filter modulation over time. Adjust the ATTACK TIME, DECAY TIME, SUSTAIN LEVEL, and RELEASE TIME parameters to create dynamic sound envelopes, from sharp percussive hits to long, evolving pads.

3.4. Patching System

The flexible patching system allows for extensive sound design. Use patch cables to reroute signals between different modules, enabling complex modulation and unique sound textures. Refer to the included manual for detailed patching exampлес.

3.5. External Signal Processor (ESP)

The External Signal Processor (ESP) allows you to process external audio signals through the MS20 Mini's filters and envelopes. This expands the synthesizer's capabilities, enabling it to act as a powerful audio effect unit.
