Follow these steps for initial setup and installation of your Danfoss Ally Starter Pack.
- Install the Ally Gateway: Connect the Ally Gateway to your home network and power supply. Refer to the separate Gateway installation guide for detailed instructions.
- Download the Danfoss Ally App: Download and install the Danfoss Ally app on your smartphone from your device's app store.
- Create an Account and Pair the Gateway: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and pair your Ally Gateway with the app.
- Install the Ally Thermostatic Radiator Valve:
- Remove your existing thermostatic radiator valve. The Danfoss Ally valve is designed for quick and simple installation on most radiator valve bodies (95% compatibility).
- Insert the batteries into the Ally valve.
- Mount the Ally valve onto the radiator valve body. Ensure it is securely fastened. Adapters may be required for certain valve types (M28 adapter not included).
- Pair the Ally Thermostatic Radiator Valve: Follow the instructions in the Danfoss Ally app to pair the newly installed thermostatic valve with your Ally Gateway. This typically involves activating pairing mode on the valve and searching for it in the app.
