Follow these steps to set up your Technics SL-100C turntable for optimal performance.

Place the turntable on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive vibration.

2. Platter and Mat Installation

Gently place the main platter onto the spindle. Ensure it sits flush.

Carefully lower the dust cover onto the hinges.

The Audio-Technica AT-VM95C cartridge is pre-installed on the headshell for convenience.

Attach the headshell (with pre-installed cartridge) to the front end of the tonearm. Secure it by rotating the locking ring.
Install the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm. Rotate it until the tonearm is balanced and floats horizontally.
Set the tracking force by rotating the counterweight's numbered ring to the recommended tracking force for the AT-VM95C cartridge (typically 2.0 grams).
Adjust the anti-skating dial to match the tracking force setting.
The tonearm height can be adjusted within a 6mm range for different cartridges. Refer to the detailed owner's manual for advanced adjustments.

3. Auto Lifter Function

The SL-100C features an Auto Lifter that automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record.

This function is enabled by default. It helps prevent unnecessary wear on your stylus and records.
To disable the Auto Lifter, locate the small switch on the rear of the turntable and set it to the OFF position.
