The locomotive requires (6) C Cell Batteries (not included). The remote control typically requires (3) AAA batteries (not included). Adult assembly is required for battery installation.
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the locomotive and the remote control.

Connecting Train Cars
The train cars feature fixed knuckle couplers for easy and secure attachment. Simply align the couplers and push them together until they click into place.

Adding Water for Smoke Effects
To activate the water vapor smoke effect, use the provided water bottle dropper to carefully add a small amount of clean water into the designated opening on the locomotive's smokestack. Do not overfill.

Turn on the locomotive using the 3-position switch located on the top of the engine. Turn on the remote control (if using) by sliding its ON/OFF switch.
