  For new HDDs or SSDs, you must initialize them before they appear on your computer. Go to 'Disk Management' (Windows) or 'Disk Utility' (Mac). Right-click the unallocated disk and select 'Initialize Disk'. Choose MBR for drives under 2TB or GPT for drives over 2TB, then create a new simple volume.

• Does the FIDECO docking station support offline cloning?

  Yes, many FIDECO models support offline cloning. Insert the source disk (contains data) and target disk (empty, usually larger capacity) into the correct slots. With the device disconnected from the PC, press and hold the Clone button for 3 seconds until the LED indicators start flashing to begin the process.

• Why is my drive not recognized by the FIDECO enclosure?

  First, ensure the drive is properly initialized and formatted (exFAT is recommended for cross-platform compatibility). Check that the USB cable and power adapter (if applicable) are securely connected. For 3.5-inch drives, the 12V power adapter is required.
