Most Hanna pH testers require calibration using standard buffer solutions (commonly pH 4.01, 7.01, or 10.01). Immerse the probe in the buffer solution and use the calibration button or trimmer to adjust the reading to match the buffer value. Always rinse the probe with distilled water between buffers.
To maintain accuracy and longevity, store pH electrodes moist. Keep the protective cap filled with HI70300 storage solution or pH 4.01 buffer. Never store the electrode in distilled or deionized water, as this can damage the sensor.
A blinking battery icon generally indicates that the battery level is low (often below 10%). Replace the batteries immediately with the type specified in your product manual (commonly CR2032 or AAA) to prevent inaccurate readings due to low power.
