  • Where can I find warranty information for Power Technology laser modules?

    Power Technology provides a limited warranty from the date of purchase on manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. Note that breaking factory-sealed locking rings or sealed potentiometers on your laser module will instantly void the warranty.

  • How do I request a repair or RMA from Power Technology?

    No returns are accepted by PTI without an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number clearly displayed on the return package. You must contact the factory directly to receive an RMA. Have your model number, serial number, and a description of your problem ready.

  • Can I manually adjust the focus on my WRM or SPM series OEM laser module?

    While some units provide focusing capability, extreme care is necessary. Because diode power supplies rely on internal feedback, adjusting the focus or removing the lens with the module operating at full power can completely destroy the laser diode. Always follow the explicit instructions in your module's user manual.

  • Do I need to attach a heat sink to my laser diode?

    Yes, if your system has an output power of 5mW or greater, draws 70mA or more current, or operates above 25°C, using a heat sink is strongly recommended to dissipate heat and prevent permanent damage to the delicate laser diode.
